Miha Volgemut / univ.dipl.ing.arch., M.Sc.
Miha Volgemut graduated in 2004 at Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana and received his Master of Science in Urban Strategies under the mentorship of Wolf D. Prix from the University for Applied Arts Vienna in 2008. He also received certificate for the summer school under the mentorship of Aaron Betsky from Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design in 2005. Prior to founding Volgemut Arhitekti in 2008 he worked five years as a project designer at the Office for Architecture in Ljubljana, two years on interior design at Monochrome architects and also as a free-lance architect. In 2005/06 he was employed at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana.
Miha is winner of the Trimo research award 2005 and of the candidacy for Archiprix international 2005. He participated in international workshops in Glasgow, Rotterdam, Vienna and national ones. At the Office for Architecture in Ljubljana, as co-author with Andrej Kocjan, he designed and realized numerous projects including residential complexes, housings and kindergartens.
Since May 2009 he is registered architect in the Chamber of Architecture and Planning Slovenia and has designed and realized numerous projects since than. On March 2013 he received Municipality Bronze Award for architectural achievement in Kamnik town.
Mateja Volgemut / univ.dipl.ing.arch., PhD
Mateja Volgemut graduated in 2005 at Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana. She received certificate for the summer school under the mentorship of Aaron Betsky from Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design in 2005. She worked in numerous offices and also as a free-lance architect since than. In 2005/06 she was employed at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana. Mateja participated in the international workshop in Rotterdam and national ones. In her practice she worked on competitions, architectural projects and urban planning. She is employed as assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana and she succesfully finished PhD program in Urban and spatial planning.
Since January 2015 she is registered architect and spatial planner in the Chamber of Architecture and Planning Slovenia.
